U-Power · built-in desk power
Desk power outlets built into your office workstations
U-Power is the desk power system Aetrio designs, produces and installs as part of the workstation, not as an accessory added after the desks arrive. Sockets, USB, the under-desk raceway and the cable tower are specified together with the desks and screen dividers, so the whole cluster is powered from one floor source.
Built for interior contractors, design & build teams and project managers who want desk power settled in the drawings, not on site in the last week.

Why it matters
Desk power planned late is the most common fit-out headache
When desk power is left until the furniture is on site, the interior and electrical trades end up working around each other. Floor boxes do not line up with the desk clusters, extension leads appear under every desk, and the last week before handover goes into cable fixes.
U-Power brings the floor source, the vertical cable path and the outlets into the workstation design from day one. Power rises through the cable tower, runs in a raceway under the desktops and arrives at each desk through its own outlet. The worktop stays clear and every cable stays reachable for maintenance.
For contractors this means one clear scope in the drawings and the quotation. For project managers it means floor-box readiness can be tied directly to the workstation installation sequence. Our guide to workstation cable management covers the details.

How it works
How U-Power desk power works
U-Power distributes power from one floor source through chained main cables to a module at every desk. The main cable is 2.5 mm², 1.8 m long, with 1-to-3 or 1-to-5 connectors, and follows the layout of the cluster.
- One floor power source. Your electrical contractor provides a single floor source next to one of the cable towers.
- Cable tower. The middle legs of an Aetrio cluster are the cable towers. Power rises inside one of them, out of sight.
- Raceway. Chained main cables run in a raceway under the desktops, along the screen line.
- An outlet at every desk. A flip-top or under-desk box at each workstation, set about 15 cm from the screen-side edge.
Socket ratings are per socket (10A 250V~ / 2,500 W), not the capacity of the building circuit. The combined load of the connected equipment is the basis for the source and protection your MEP team designs. The USB module supplies 20 W in total, shared between its USB-C and USB-A ports. U-Power products supplied by Aetrio are CE certified; the socket modules are EU RoHS tested and CCC certified.
Modules
Desk power modules
Every module takes universal or EU sockets, so multinational teams can plug in equipment from any region without adapters or non-standard plugs.
Under-desk box
An aluminium box under the desktop with 2–3 sockets and a switch. Options include LAN CAT6, USB up to 65 W and HDMI.
The 65 W USB option is a separate variant from the 20 W USB module.
Aluminium flip-top
A flip-top in the desk surface for meeting tables and shared benches, with the option of an Aetrio logo on the lid.
Clamp-on & slim bar
A clamp-on outlet for the edge of sit-stand desks, and a slim bar with three sockets, a switch and 20 W USB.
Raceway & cable riser
Raceway or cable tray from 600 to 1,600 mm, cable risers and screen-divider brackets that keep the whole cable path hidden.
Distribution
One floor power source for six desks
With U-Power, one floor power source feeds a cluster of six workstations as standard, and up to eight to ten depending on the connected load. The circuit is rated 20 A, with a recommended working load of 16 A. On the floor plan, every power point maps to one cluster, which keeps electrical drawings simple to read and check.
On site, your contractor only prepares the floor source. Everything from that point to the outlet on each desk is part of the workstation system. We agree the cluster positions with you and your MEP team so the distribution follows the layout, and we start from the floor plan and a load list whenever a cluster has heavier equipment.

Where it goes
Power for staff desks and meeting tables
Staff workstations
Modules are placed by seating direction, equipment and screen position, so nobody reaches into a colleague’s space for a socket. Desk power is part of the office workstation desk configuration from the start.
Meeting tables
A flip-top in the table surface gives everyone access from their seat, while an under-desk box keeps the module out of sight. LAN and HDMI are specified with the room equipment.
Sit-stand desks
Clamp-on outlets on the desk edge move with the desktop, so cables are never stretched when the desk goes up or down.
Projects
Working with your contractor and MEP team
We review the floor plan, the number of workstations, the equipment per desk and the modules needed with your project coordinator. The contractor confirms site conditions, the MEP team designs the source and protection, and we align U-Power with the desk drawings and the installation sequence.

Case study · NDA
200 workstations with U-Power in four days
In a high-rise office in Jakarta, 200 workstations were delivered, moved up the building, installed and cleaned up in four days, with the U-Power electrical deployed in eight hours. The client is under NDA. Read how contractors can activate 200 workstations in a high-rise; every project is scheduled to its own scope and site readiness.
Aetrio desks, chairs and U-Power carry a 3-year warranty, with configuration and installation scope stated in the quotation.
Frequently asked questions
Product & technical
What is a built-in desk power outlet?
It is a socket module that is part of the workstation itself. With U-Power the outlets, the under-desk raceway and the cable tower are designed and installed together with the desks, so no separate desk cabling package is needed.
Which socket types are available?
Universal or EU (Schuko) sockets, each rated up to 10A 250V~ (2,500 W) with safety shutters, plus USB-C and USB-A. Teams from different countries can plug in without adapters.
How many desks can one floor power source supply?
Six workstations as standard, and up to eight to ten depending on the connected load. The circuit is rated 20 A with a recommended working load of 16 A; final sizing and protection are planned with your MEP engineer.
Can U-Power be used on meeting tables and sit-stand desks?
Yes. Meeting tables usually take an aluminium flip-top or an under-desk box with power, LAN, USB and HDMI. Sit-stand desks use a clamp-on outlet on the desk edge so the cable moves with the desktop.
Project, lead time & warranty
How long does installation take?
On one high-rise project in Jakarta, 200 workstations on a 1,400 m² floor were delivered, moved up the building, installed and cleaned up in four days, with the U-Power electrical deployed in eight hours (client under NDA). Every project is scheduled to its own scope and site readiness.
What is the lead time and warranty?
Standard configurations with standard U-Power kits take around three to four weeks from approved drawings and finishes; custom U-Power specifications take six to eight weeks from confirmed order and approved spec. Desks, chairs and U-Power carry a 3-year warranty.
